(1) Although written in the 1970s, the short-story, Grandfather Koori, was about the so-called Aboriginal situation and possible way-out; an Aboriginal perspective, written by an Aboriginal (Kevin Gilbert), about Aboriginals and their lifestyle.
I believe much of what is stated and described still, unfortunately, applies to the current “state of affairs” for the majority of Aboriginals of Australia.
The story is written in the style of a conversation, between a young Aboriginal, and an Aboriginal elder (grandfather). I have taken the liberty of some slight editing of words for readability and added extra explanations in [brackets] where I felt help clarity. Read story here…
